Why can't I type, or is AUTOCORRECT out to get me?

I have problems when I type. Many times, the letter O becomes an I, or an S becomes a D, or N becomes B.

For example, drove becomes drive, so becomes do, song becomes dong, and becomes abd.

Yes, I know these letters are next to each other on the keyboard, and I do have fat fingers, but this happens all the time, even when I make a detailed effort to hit the correct key.

Am I really that bad at typing, or is Autocorrect out to get me?

Am I alone?

I'm pathetic on a capacitive touch screen keyboard. That may be the reason I finally get drive to a giant "phablet phone". It's a combination of large hands and tiny keys along with skin that just doesn't register reliably on a capacitive touch screen. Also, Apple are idiots for never giving their products a delete key and stranding us with only a backspace key. Positioning the cursor is an exercise in frustration that often take 5 attempts with my hands.

And autocorrect can be both hilarious and infuriating at the same time. Ditto for voice to text which I sometimes use hands free in my car through steering wheel controls. Sometimes I just let the mistranslation go because it is funny as hell and not worth the distraction to try again.

Yeah you're just bad at typing. I have a different problem; I don't hit the keys hatd enough so I get letters missing.

This phone seems to be okay but my last phone used to change love to like.

And it would change do to don't which is bad when it was supposed say that I do like you but changed it to don't like you.

This phone does have a glitch though. It types entire words and I just noticed it adds an entire sentence that I didn't type.

More likely you misspelt it in the past and autocorrect now thinks it's a real word. It happens to me a lot

It’s like autocorrect has ideas of its own. If you can’t type correctly, it could be a keyboard glitch, a software issue, or a setting change after an update. Check keyboard settings, turn off autocorrect for a while, or restart your device and see if that fixes the problem.

I've found recently autocorrect is constantly changing words that I've spelt properly and changing word to something else entirely. The other day it changed the word scabbed to stabbed a similar sounding word but with an entirely different meaning.

I think you have a problem with your keyboard. You may have spilled some liquid in it and it doesn't take much. Just a few drops will create this problem. I've had it myself many times. I usually have a spare keyboard around and I just swapped them out. What I've also found is the one that got wet. Well ultimately try out enough to be useful again.

switch your phone'keyboard to the one from Microsoft... and make it a bigger size

Autocorrect is proof there is hell on earth. It should be called auto incorrect because it never seems to get anything right!
