What is the worst thing you have ever done, honestly?

When I was a kid, I stole one of those erasers that you put at the tip of a pencil from the corner store. My heart was beating like crazy because I knew I did something that was inappropriate.

By some mysterious coincidence, my father got wind of it and made me write an apology letter to the owner of the store. He came with me and while he waited in front of the store, I was obliged to go into the store and deliver the apology letter to the owner while waiting for his reaction.

I could have died of shame and once the shop owner read my apology letter, he had a tear in his eye but gave me a sermon about my dishonest behavior. Nevertheless, he told me I could keep the eraser...

That was my most shameful behavior and something I am not proud of.

To another person? I continued seeing a woman who was deeply in love with me after I knew I was going to end the relationship eventually. Not only did I waste her time, but the heartbreak was much worse than it would have been if I had ended it months earlier.
