Many years ago when whistle blowing first began - the whistle blower had protection against retaliation and maybe even personal security from being killed or beat up and lose their job.
Now they just get rid of you.

If this kind of action saves human lives or those of animals, then yes, I would certainly be a whistleblower even if that would mean losing my job.
I am an empath and I cannot and will not accept that lives be at stake just because CEOs want to fill their pockets at the detriment of other humans, regarding loss of life as something that is a collateral damage that is acceptable to take in order to prosper.
I live near a home for kids with Down syndrome and seeing how they are being treated by random strangers not only aggravates me but makes me take their defense against those that have no respect for those that have a challenge in life.

Maybe you have read on here that I have recently (6 months+) become an aviation enthusiast.
My question was prompted when I saw the program MAYDAY Air Disaster ✈️ just now.
What Boing hid from their pilots ended up killing more than 300+ souls and Boing knew that it could end up with a crash. But like you said, it's all about money.
Boing installed a new program called MCAS which will cause the jets systems to malfunction and possibly crash and finally it happened..
Boeing deliberately left out of the pilots instructions what to do when the plane behaves in a way that doesn't make any sense to the pilots.
Boeing didn't tell the pilots or anyone else that they installed MCAS on their jets.
And they purposely left it out of all of the manuals and the pilots were never trained on what to do if the MCAS is sending faulty messages to the pilots and the plane begins to misbehave and the pilots ended up crashing the plane.
There was a whistle blower who spoke up about it, but they just put him on eternal leave and cut his salary substantially.
Oh yes, I did read extensively about those issues with the new Boeing B737 where Boeing "omitted" to inform the operators about the dangers.
Actually, aviation is one of my major interest area but I don't want to talk too much about it since I like to keep my bio as neutral as possible.

Thank you for your input. It's good to know that I have a fellow aviation enthusiast on here.
We didn't say anything that would be used against us I don't think. Pretty generic things.
Yes I would do it if it would save lives. There are a couple reasons. One is that lives are far more important than a job. There is no denying that. You can get another job. A person cannot get a new life.
The second reason is that my job is not that important. I could easily go across town and get a new one at a competing resort or hotel. So I would much rather save a life and move to a new hotel than not.
On a few occasions, I have pointed out things at work, typically involving safety. I'm not sure one would call that whistle-blowing, but I have no problem doing what's right, even if it harms me in the long run.
