This is really not about working on weekends but more about having to come into the office as opposed to working remotely. What do you think about that?

A pain in the ass. I worked at home for three years and the team was very productive. Then they called us all into the office and it went to shit.

If you are dumb enough to sign an employment contract that you will work weekends if needed, then you screwed yourself. You can just say “I’m not available on weekends”
