They say that each decision you make opens up an entirely new alternate universe where, BECAUSE you made that choice, things seconds or even eons down the road ended up the way they did in that universe BECAUSE you made that one tiny choice and, had you made another, it would've opened an entirely different version of the universe where things ended up CPMPLETELY different! Basically, any time you have a choice to make, each choice has already made a new version of the universe, it's your choice that sends you into the one you end up in. There ARE OTHER versions of the universe where you DIDN'T make that specific choice! Maybe if a fly hadn't landed on Hitler's ear one day, he would've STAYED a simple, harmless paper hanger!
At one point, a few decades ago, I felt like, if I made the simplest of choices, it might've changed things for the better, or worse, in the situation I was in at the time. Should I put two exclamation points at the end of this sentence or only one? If I accidentally type two should I remove the second or leave it the way it ended up? If I do either, will it change my present life situation for the better or the worse? Just wondering how many exclamation points I should've put there opened up a new version of the universe!!
Thankfully, I've gotten over that decades ago and just don't worry much about it. And, in the end, although I DID go through a rough emotional time, things ended up pretty good in that particular situation, at least for the next couple decades.

I don't know if I'd take it to that fine a level, but one certainly has to wonder what might have happened if Hitler had been accepted into art school. At my age there are quite a few "junctions" that I sometimes wonder "what if" but, as you say, not too often anymore. As time goes by it seems I've made peace with my choices, besides, even if a different choice had been better for a time who can say that that wouldn't have come to grief later. Interesting point to consider once in awhile.
Sure is!
Yes.
and I have made good life choices. Just like that.
I have had a lot of situations that I had to make life decisions… they have put me in better journeys.
no... I don't think it makes a difference... if I eat vanilla ice cream or strawberry
