I sleep under a sheet, light blanket and a top sheet.
When ever I wake up, both sheets are up around my neck, where they should be, but the blanket is halfway down the bed, between the sheets.
I know I sleep somewhat restlessly, moving around when I sleep, but why does only the blanket move, the sheets don't.
I'm an engineer and understand physics, but this just messes up my brain.
Can anyone explain what is going on?

basically... friction
more or less with a body, than between fabrics
that's why
similar to why a "cast saw" will cut through the cast but won't do anything to your skin... it's all about the "friction and drag"
Annoying huh? Why do the ingredients try to escape a sammich? Mayo... Wait... that doesn't apply here. I suspect it has to do with the blanket being heavier. And you should see what happens to a blanket on top of a bedjet cloudsheet.
I would say the problem is all in the blankets and the way like @Paige2006 said depends how you make the bed 👀🛏οΈ 👌🏻β🏻
Lol. I'd always rarely make my bed - just pull the blankets up to get out and pull them back up when I get in to bed lol 🛏οΈ 😋
Lol @AviatorTom solve your problem man? I love double beds. Even if they're being phased out (grrr, growl, sigh) for larger beds.
No idea. I use a duvet. If it's cold I sleep under it, if it's hot on top of it. I keep things simple
Is that what us Aussies call a Doona? Lol I just use normal blankets cheaply bought from the store and an older style wool blanket ππ Aussie made ofc
Recorded your sleep⦠see what you do through the night.
I smell @AviatorTom Paranormal Activity Rebooted 2026 lol
Buy some sheet grippers. They are made for sheets, but they work for blankets too. They are cheap and work like a charm.
The Boogeyman is reaching up from under the bed and pulling it down to lure you into snatching range.
Why so complicated? One good blanket is enough. And maybe a thicker one for winter.
Iβm checking into it buying a comforter I heard it warmer than a blanket because it gets cold here in Miami believe it or not sometimes, and last year I was really cold a lot and didnβt really have much of a blanket this year. Iβm gonna order from Amazon, what do you recommend?
Mine do this too. I have absolutely no idea why. My cat Allister says that he is not responsible for it.
it wants to move and be free
Probably how you are making it
You have bedbugs.
A conspiracy of bedbugs?
@MrChinaski yes, big bedbugs,
@exitseven I did find a couple harmless carpet beetle larvae a few weeks ago, but no bedbugs π
Why have a sheet a top your blanket?
