I found this spider walking across a beach carpark tonight and obviously had to take a picture because it was huge. Anyway I did a image search and it's a giant house spider.
What it was doing in a sandy carpark late at night, I'll never know, I assume it hitched a ride in a car.
But, it's a HOUSE spider, not a beach spider. It belongs in a house not wandering around a carpark. I feel guilty not rescuing it but I didn't know the species until I got home. I might pop back and save it by putting it through someone's letterbox
Should I have rescued this giant house spider from a beach car park?
I learned that instead of trying to kill every single insect that might sneak into my home and remove every egg in a house that is so big, the best way to get rid of insects is to starve them to death by keeping the house so clean that the insect has nothing to eat. This might sound bizarre to others but I find that when I took time out of the day to wipe the table every time I dropped a crumb or to use tissue to wipe my eyes when they were grainy instead of letting the eye grains drop to the ground, I would go longer without seeing insects in the house. And sometimes I let spiders live because they can kill the other insects and die when all the house insects are killed and they no longer have food to eat.

Just think Every bug it devours is one less that gets into your house. Maybe we all need sentry spiders. I think that is a wolf spider.
tsk... no fostering this lovely creature. It would be no trouble at all in one of your doorways.
Yes! Spiders are awesome! Plus it’s the law, since it’s Halloween season.
