Did anyone ever consider the double meaning behind Smooth Criminal?

Like instead of Anne Frank what about Princess Anastasia? She was shot along with her family by the secret police. " you been hit by you been shot by a smooth criminal" wouldn't the secret police or just the police in general be considered the smoothest criminals? Seeing that they are supposed to enforce the,law no one would think they would go against it. Think about it and please rate my question

Its not meant as an interpretation I just think that every thing has two sides

Well, everything obviously has a lot of ways it can be interpreted (or "sides), but a writer has a meaning to things they write. There are categories of art in which the artist leaves their work up to interpretation, but in most cases, they have something specific in mind when writing.
