Why do you think we feel the need to drunk call people?

Why do you think we feel the need to call people we're interested in or dating when we're drunk?

Well, I am reallly guilty of doing this! It's insane! But, like people are saying below, it is liquid courage.. or as people say "Drunken words, are sober thoughts!" Or something along those lines!

Well anyways down to the point! We just speak our minds when we are drunk... but I serously warn you, sometimes it isn't all that good of an idea.. say you called the guy you liked while drunk and spilled your guts onto the table, and the guys knows or can tell you're drunk...some guys may find that a turn off.. just I strongly suggest before you get into the booze, turn your cell off and put it out of harms way!

i don't get the drunk calling/texting thing. I've never done it I don't even use my phone at those times lol. I'm guessing people do it because since they're drunk they have a chance to blurt everything out?

Whatever everyone else said is correct, and if it wasn't, it's because we can say whatever we want and use the "I was drunk." excuse if it doesn't work out how planned.

As some have said, its liquid courage, and it loosens you up. You don't act as you normally would. Though perhaps there's something else from what's in the alcohol that changes how the person is personality wise that creates the desire to want to talk to the their dating or interested.

It's called liquid courage; even though alcohol is a depressant. It destroys barriers because it makes you not care. When you are apathetic, you do not care about the consequences of your actions. Alcohol also brings out the truth in us.

Alcohol loosens you up and gets rid of nervous tensions you may have. Same reason why people get tipsy before hitting on an attractive stranger of the opposite gender.

When you're drunk, you lose your inhibitions. You do things that you wouldn't normally do, like calling certain people and saying certain things.
