Why are people rude when they’re drunk?

I work in cleaning. I get paid to do cleaning around a casino in the city. I work overnights and the casino night life is like a club. You have people drinking and doing and saying anything. I’m use to them throwing up in the stalls and not even attempting to clean up behind themselves. I have even seen many people walk out the bathroom stalls without washing their hands. Today was no different. Two women were in the stall, a couple I believe. One was a (excuse me if I say it wrong I don’t want to offend anyone) a more masculine woman. She was clearly a woman but you can tell she was the guy in their relationship and the other one was more feminine. The feminine one was throwing up next to the stall I was cleaning. I was sweeping and the more masculine one goes “Why is she making all that damn noise with that broom?” Then her girlfriend laughs and then she throws a piece of toilet tissue under the stall I was cleaning. They both then come out of the stall and ignorantly say “You have more cleaning up to do because I just did that stall dirty.” Then the masculine one continues to call herself joking about my sweeping but not speaking to me directly. Her girlfriend is laughing and egging her on and when she saw I wasn’t responding she goes “I wish they had separate stalls for us.” As though to say I was the issue but she was picking on me. They eventually left the bathroom but I always wonder if half of the drunk things people do and say, when they sober up, do they ever feel bad or embarrassed? It was all so unnecessary. I was just doing my job.
