Stereotypically, women like men with things which are considered powerful:

Tall, authoritative, strong etc. (Ignoring the obvious such as kind and caring)

What about men?

Most guys will happily work hard every day to provide for his girl and family, and will put himself at risk to protect her and keep her safe and secure. We will fix the toilets when they overflow, crawl under the house or through the hot nasty attic to fix things that are broken, and so on. We'll do all this and more, AS LONG AS we feel like our girl appreciates us, respects us, and sexually desires us.

When those things go away, that's when men start to get resentful, and then they get distant, and their eyes start to wander and they start thinking about why they are in the relationship.

For the most part, guys have VERY simple needs, and only a few of them, but make no mistake, those needs are IMPORTANT, and without them, a relationship cannot survive.

The only thing a girl has to watch out for is that she is with a guy who DESERVES for her to nurture him. A lot of girls pick guys that clearly don't care about them or respect them, and then they try to nurture him and wonder why it doesn't work. It doesn't work because the guy is selfish and not worthy of respect, and a girl trying to nurture him isn't going to change that.

Nurturing, would probably be the one word I would best use to describe the personality of a girl that guys go for.

A girl who likes kids, is kind to people, can and is willing to make sure I'm happy and pleasure me, is all a plus. Basically any trait that says, "She would make a good mom" is usually turn on, especially to mature men who are in their 20's or older. To many girls today feel entitled and are selfish when it comes to relationships. Any time a girl can nurture me and reciprocate my love for her is a plus, even if that means something as simple as making me dinner, picking something up for me from the store, giving me a massage or a kiss when I come home from work.

Confidence is generally good as long as she doesn't act like a diva who's sh*t don't stink.

I personally like balance between submissive and dominance. A girl who doesn't say a word, and acts like my puppy dog and sex toy all the time isn't always fun, on the same note, a girl who treats me like her man slave isn't fun either.

Fertile. Which means they look youthful if past 25 or mature if under 18, and healthy (i.e. optimal waist/hip ratio).

For long term, fertile, faithful and sweet.

Faithful so you're raising your own kids, not someone else's.

Sweet because she'll be nurturing to kids.

Obviously, men and women like lots of other things (like compatibility!) but we're talking about attraction, so I was trying to give the parallel of 'power'.
