Can I bring cookies (made with weed butter) on an airplane?

Do they allow homemade food on planes, and if so, would they check it? I'd only have like 4, and I'd say it was a snack for the flight, I'd even bring a bottle of milk to sell it, haha. I've never flown before and I obviously don't want to bring actual weed with me. Do they have drug-sniffing dogs there? I figure they'd be able to detect it, but TSA people would never know without dogs. Not a huge deal, just want to bring a few if I can. I'm flying within the US, Hartford to Los Angeles via Detroit, if that matters.

depends the airport. some have dogs, some don't LAX for sure has dogs. Dogs could definitely smell it and you would catch a charge just as if you had actual weed. I don't know about your brownies, but most brownies reek of weed anyway and it wouldn't take 2 seconds for someone to smell them and find them.

I thought they don't allow liquids of any kind. Not too sure anymore, not up to date on my airline security procedures. I'd assume as long as you throw in in with your carry on (the cookies that is) you should be fine, but I don't think they'll let you have the milk.

When I went to Malaga from Birmingham I could take my home made sandwiches on the plane with me, nobody made a fuss. So on some flights home made foods aren't a problem.

But drugs? Seriously? Don't risk it if you don't want drama and a big fuss.

real easy...grind up between 1/2 an ounce to an ounce (ideally very fine, like in a coffee grinder), boil water, melt a stick or 2 of butter in the water (depending on how strong you want), then dump the ground up weed in it. THC is fat soluble, so when heated, it will bond with the butter. reduce it to a simmer and simmer it for 12-24 hours, but not more. Keep it covered so the water doesn't evaporate, and stir it every so often. You can add water if needed. When the cooking is done, have...

...a fairly large tupperware container ready with cheesecloth over it, secured with an elastic band. Strain it through the cheesecloth, and keep the leftover mash. Let the mash cool a bit, then wring the cheesecloth and the mash to squeeze all the water/butter combo into the container. Cover the container and refrigerate a few hours. The butter separates and solidifies on the top. Stick a knife in at the edges, make a crack in it, and carefully pour the water out without dropping the butter...

...it's best to do it over another container or a sieve or something to be safe. So all the good stuff is trapped in the butter. Wrap it in plastic, put it back in the container, whatever's clever. You can freeze it and keep a chunk ready to go in the fridge, and put it on toast, etc. Or better yet, just cook with it and use the same amount as you would regular butter. Good stuff, but it hits you harder and longer, so don't make any plans! :)
