Well.. it's clear he's interested in getting to know you.. the reason he probably asks questions is because he wants to find a way to maje you comfortable.. this is usually the case if he senses you may be relatively introverted and/or shy.
Guys don't waste time with girks they don't like. Unless they have genuine reason to be frievds like shared interests or some thing.
He's probably nervous and really likes you. And sees some thing special in you. Its a good idea too find common interests. Ask him questions. Smile and be open to him. You never know your friendship could turn out to be very special. Sometimes 'the one' can be who you least expect and at the least convenient times within your life
The silly goose read in some how-to-get-girls book that asking random questions gets the girl to relax and let her guard down. Then they're told she'll say yes to going out, and so on.
I bet he has a learning disorder. Some autistic people do this.
