Boyfriend's arm around waist meaning?

Ive been going out with him for nearly a month now, and whenever we walk, sit or stand anywhere, he always keeps his arm around my waist. I have no problem with it, in fact I love it, but I just wanna know exactly what it means. Also does the lower he put it mean something too? The other day his arm was resting pretty much just at the top of my butt.

It's his way of showing his pride. He's telling everyone you're his + he enjoys the closeness. It's all new to him and it just generally excites him. You're a girl and he's allowed to touch you. Every fiber in his body is on red alert. Same as you.

He likes leaving it there to show that he's yours and/or he's attracted to your body part as well lol, there's nothing wrong with it. And if he goes lower then I guess he wants to get at it
