What does a man mean when he says sure?

Texting this guy and I asked if he wanted to work towards a relationship and he says sure...I was expecting yes or no. With him saying sure it leaves me to think there is some hesitation. Am I over thinking?

Not to sound like I'm scolding, but this is precisely why when it comes to defining the relationship, one should not text. They should either do so face to face or over the phone. There is too much ambiguity otherwise. That said, I think it's reasonable for you to worry a bit. It seems he's given a sign of approval, but it's not very definitive.

Well I asked sure as yea or as you don't really want to and he has not replied. I just wanna be sure cause if he doesn't really want to then I will move on but if he does I'll actually give it a try. Just don't want to waste time when I can be giving someone else a chance.

i gave this guy i like a paper saying "will you be my boyfriend" and i got a "sure" as i was walking out of the door with my jacket on my head to hide my embarrassment. Im not sure what "sure" means to a guy..

Im not a guy but it sounds promising to me. I mean, there are a hundred excuses he could have come up with but instead he told you "sure." to me that's a green light.

Well I asked for clarification and he never replied so this mornin I sent him a text saying how I wanted an answer and I'm not pressing the issue anymore and for him to take care and yet still nothing from him so I deleted every trace of him and I'm moving on . He obviously don't care
