Do you find it funny when people wear bulky headphones and walk on the street?

funny that there's a ear bud add right beside the question haha! I don't think the bulky ones make you look weird. I've seen headphones that are worth in the thousands I don't think you can get buds like those, not sure it's even possible for people to tell if the phones have perfect pitch, but I guess some make you feel like your in a audiophiles' sound room... I guess if your just going for a minimalist look go with the buds, but if you want to flash your cash and get wet go with the bulky ones. If you ever start getting ear problems stop using the phones buds or bulk; take it from my experience, I still can't hold a telephone to my ear from the pain it use to give me (7 years ago). I also heard of people hearing sirens (hospital freaking out type sh*t) from blasting their buds to high. Now I just have a frankenstein audio system which is nice, but I miss the days when I used the headphones with the sound system; you get full stereo with the music vibrating your chest and body hair :D..

Yeah they look stupid. But it's common. It's a fashion statement. Sometimes people claim it's for the sound quality. Because you need professional studio quality headphones to listen to compressed audio files while walking beside busy traffic.

I wouldn't even notice it. I'm quite absent minded so if I did I'd probably just see them and then think of something else immediately and forget about it.

Yeah it is weird just because little ear buds are so much more easy to carry around like you said. But the big ones are all decorated and look awesome :)

Nope, I don't really care. And earbuds (if that's what you meant) have sh*t sound compared to standard headphones. I have some sennheiser open air headphones and no earbuds would dream of the sound quality, doesn't matter how expensive, it's just not physically possible in that small size.

Also, if you know how to compress files, they are indistinguishable from lossless to your ears. And there's no rule that headphones in public must only be used besides noisy areas, never mind that some specifically block out noise. So sound quality is a valid reason to not wear earbuds in public.

It looks a bit weird but I can kind of see why people like those now. Ear buds like never stay in my ears...which is super annoying while jogging.

Nah I would prefer them for comfort. The earphones gross me out since they are in your ears all the time. I'd prefer headphones cup my ears not penetrate them..

I do, honestly bulky headphones really belong in a recording studio or on a DJs head. Other then that people look ridiculous. The apple earphones are just fine.
