Why people want to beat up nerds?

I never quite understood where this despising of the nerd came from. I know there dudes that are athletic and develop muscle mass quite easily (good genes) and there are dudes that can absord massive amounts of data in a short laps of time (good genes). If they both possess good genes that permit them to get ahead. Why do nerd get to be so unpopular?

hmm, I'm guessing you mean guys, I talked to a guy that used to be a bully about it in high school and turned over a new leaf in college, he said they usually do it because guy geeks are irritating, inferiority complex I suppose, others do it to get test answers off them and some just do it because the majority of them are defenseless, but all of these revolve in an inferiority complex, guys acting macho to fill their self esteem and excercise to look strong and mean, you know how it goes, eventually they form gangs and mess around, some become overconfident and start gangwars witg other schools, others get stupid and take drugs, smoke and drink, and some force themselves on the girls in school, so its much more psychological than genetic

ive dealt with so many cases its silly already, 12 bullies I think asked me out over the course of my high school life, I rejected them all, then 2 of them started to irritate me and tease me, I retaliated and nearly killed both of them one with a sharp pencil near the collar bone and the other with a schoolbag full of cinderblocks and a deskchair, since then the bullies stayed far away from me and I became liked by everyone in class, note that before this I used to be a geek too, I buried that after beat those too up and I had already learned several martials arts so those rumors spreaded quickly, note that I nearly got expelled so its not something I'd do lightly, I had to explain myself for 3hrs to convince them it was justified, eventually I gained their favor and the bullies parents ciuldnt say anything because they shouldve prevented it from happening (shouted that in their faces when they tried to complain about me, I was like 15 then lol)

my advice to you if you get picked on is to aim for the biggesy tallest, muscliest meanest guy, he's either the boss or the muscle of the boss, and beat him up (if you manage to take him down the others just retreat, its cockcroach mentality - that's not belittling, that's their case, just like most people have herd mentality when they watch the news or crab mentality when theyre stubborn about something), but your gonna need a lot of confidence and a lot more rage, bearing a grudge helps but I recommend not since that spreads quickly to other things and corrupts the mind and doesn't go away so easily, if you can't do that you can report him to the student council or guidance council but teachers usually veer off the subject because they value their lives more so yeah..

(I got off being nerdy in high school but I still feel and sometimes dress like one from time to time, my boyfriend has a thing for glasses and nerdy personality, I have contacts already and glasses strain my eyes but he likes it so I'm OK with it.. lol sidetracked)

It's Perfect don't change a word.

I was bullied too by a girl in high school. She was nasty and a racist. She would treat me like sh!t because I had a crush on her sister and she wouldn't let me get close to her. Once, it wore off she kept messing with me. One day I just snapped bought a COLA went to see her there was a crowd close. I shaked my bottle she tried to run I chased her through the school and blew the bottle on her face. She missed class for one week and was scared of me after.

I don't know either. I think it mainly has to do with the fact that they're different, than the bullies. Some people really have trouble accepting others who are different than they are, they view it as a threat, in some way. Sometimes, people don't like what they don't understand.

When I was in high school, the nerds were predominantly ignored by everybody. Not many of them were beat up, but the ones who were bully targets were the annoying ones who behaved very douchey and pretentious about how cool they were. If people dress awkwardly, they are bully targets too. And nerds stereotypically do just that.
