My payslip doesn't match my pay?

So today was my payday! I was really excited because I only recently got my first job and this would've been my first substantial pay. That was until I checked my bank account and saw that I'd been paid $35.33 for 9.23 hours! I checked my payslip and it said I should've been paid $103.08, so I don't know what to do... Someone help me? Please :)

You won't get the rest of it until next pay day. Check how the pay days work I used to screw this up a lot on my first job. For example, if paycheck covers Sun to Sat and your first day was Sat, you will only get Saturday's money. You won't get the rest of it until next pay day. If that's confusing look at this:

Week 1

Sun:

Mon:

Tues:

Weds:

Thurs:

Fri:

Sat: Your first day! Made about $35.33

Week 2.

Sun: $ * hours worked

Mon: $ * hours worked

Tues: $ * hours worked

Weds:

Thurs:

Fri: Paycheck you got today = $35.33 (last weeks hours, you only worked Sat)

Sat:

Week 3.

Sun:

Mon:

Tues:

Weds:

Thurs:

Fri: (103.08 - 35.3) NOW you get the rest of that money

Yea, my pay week starts Mon and ends Sun. I worked Thursday and Saturday.

First of all what's your hourly wage?

Second, taxes take out a huge chunk and it looks even bigger when the paycheck is small

I live in Oregon and our min wage is like almost 9 an hour (its like 8.80) and that's incredibly high

For 9 hrs I'd get like 50-60 bucks after taxes. 35.33 sounds a little low, but again depends on your min wage, which is what I'm assuming you're getting since you're in hs

My hourly wage is 9.90 + 24% casual loading. I don't get taxed on my income because I'm below the taxation threshold.

Payroll screws up all the time, talk to your manager, who will give you the number to payroll, call them and they will fix the problem, or they will explain to you why your paycheck is that amount.

Either that or it's taxes and if that is the case welcome to working world where taxes rape you, you can go ahead and thank our current president for the tax hike.

Well, luckily I'm Australian, so I don't have to worry about the tax hike in America so much. Also, I earn under our taxable income threshold, so I don't get taxed. Perhaps the pay system stuffed up like you say.

Report it to your superiors. If this was an oversight, it would be deducted into your future earnings.

Was 103.08 after tax?

Was your bank account over drawn by any chance?

I don't get taxed on my income because I earn under the tax threshold

Maybe there are charges on there, for your work uniform or something.

They might have, but I could take them to court for that so...
