Why does he keep giving me nicknames? like: Sweet pea, hun, Doll, ...ECT

So I just met a guy on fb and we talked until 2am last night. and well he kept calling me all kinds of cuitsey names and calling me beautiful and pretty and all. These are some of the names he called me : Sweet Pea, Hun, Doll, Ma'am, Sugar Britches, Miss Prissy, Missy, Woman, short stuffz, Punk, Sir (because I didn't want to be called ma'am) LOL, little baby,.

And those were all in one conversation...lol

And he asked me "Why in the world are you so pretty?"

And I said "Stop, your making me blush!"

and he said "Awww, am i? :) "

And I said yes! :)

And he was like "Yayyyy! Mission Accomplished!

So what does this mean? Does he like me, or is he just playing around, because I know he is a jokester...

He wants sex. He doesn't want to call you by name because he doesn't want to form an attachment; he doesn't care about you, just your body.

I know like 99.9998% that, that is not true. Because we don't believe in sex before marriage. And he is really committed to church and all.

Is he your same age? Boys that age are very interested in the possibility of sex, even if they believes it wrong to engage. If he isn't testing to see if he could get some, then he is probably just really shy and doesn't know how to talk to girls yet. Give him some ideas, or boldly tell him how you feel about things if you are comfortable doing that. He's trying to be sweet and cute, so give him suggestions on a pet name that you would like him to use with you.

Nicknames are really personal and should be endearing to something unique about them. Unless you want to go with something generic, which is usually reserved for the BF/GF after you start dating. How old are you? If he is 2 or more years older, you should be very careful. He may say he is active at church and he may go to church regularly, but that could all be an act to make younger girls more comfortable.

I'm 18, and I have no worries that he would even try anything sexual. He isn't like that. He's really funny and tall and macho. He is going into the army, and even though I don't want him to go. Things are new, and I told him I respect his decision. And since he is always calling me cute names, I wanted to call him cute names too. But I told him I couldn't think of any, so can you help?
