What Bra size would I be with a 34 inch bust and a 27 inch ribcage?

If I am a 34 around my bust area and a 27 around my ribcage, would I be 32dd or something else? Because I have 32dd bra from VS and it does give me back support, I am just wondering if I am wearing the right size bra. So what bra size would I exactly be?

I would think you're about a D or a DD depending on the make. I have a 29 inch ribcage and a 34 inch bust and I wear a 34C. Cup size has to do with the difference in circumference from the bust and ribcage. A general rule of thumb is take your ribcage, add one to three inches so you you are at least at 30 inches, and subtract this from your bust. So for you that would be 34 bust minus 30 ribcage equals 4 inches difference, which is about at D. It probably varies slightly from brand to brand so I think it would be best for you to try several sizes on and see what fits best for you. Hope this helped!

Also, all the other answers so far have been way off. You don't add any inches, and you're DEFINITELY not a 34. Your band size is the measurement directly under your bust on your ribcage (27) so you will wear a 28 band since they don't sell 27. Your cup size is a result of the difference between the measurements. You have a 7 inch difference which translates to an F cup

you are 32 because I know you add 5 inches for an odd rib number and 4 for an even but I don't know about the cup.

Depends on if you use the +4-5 method or not. If you do, then you're a larger band size and a smaller cup. Can you find a model in a bikini with a similar frame and bust size? It's probably easier to do it that way than with just straight numbers since a lot depends on body shape and boob shape.

32DDs are awesome by the way. How do your boobs look and feel in that sized bra? If the answer to both is "fantastic!" then I think you're fine.

Actually I am little larger than 34, I forgot you have to put the bra on before you measured it, I am actually 34.5 inches with a 27 inch ribcage. I think somebody said you don't add 5 or 4, because then you will be getting a smaller bra size for what you actually are. Yes! 32dd bra does feel much better.

Yeah, if it feels better and if it supporting you well, then that's what you should use. And if you're getting a lot of compliments on your body--particularly your bust--then a 32DD would make sense from that perspective! ;-)

Yeah! I looked it up! This site shows that these women pe op pics after surgery along with their measurements. An their after surgery measurements are exactly like mines. My measurements are 34.5/35 inches- 26 inches in the waist- 46 inches in the hip.

Yeah their measurements at the bottom might not be similar to mines, because of my big butt. But their measurements at the top are and 32 dd has sister sizes it can be equivalent to a C. The only difference is a C is wider in the ribcage than the bust , while a dd is bigger in the bust rather than the ribcage.

Wow. Those are some nice breasts! And natural versions would be even better! I am surprised your only a 32 up top if your hips are a 46, though. How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

Actually 32 is the band size not the cup size. My actual measurements around the breasts is 34.6/35 inches around my bust with a 26 inch waist. Similar to these girls in the link after surgery there measurements are about the same. I am 5'0 1/2 and 110 the last time I measured, I don't know now.

I don't have 46 waist, that's my hip measurements. My waist is small it's 26, but my butt/hip is wide though and yeah that was the last time I had weigh myself. It's been along time since then so I really don't know.

Shouldn't you be a 34 something if that is the bust? I don't know bra sizing is confusing.

Yeah bra sizing is confusing, I can fit a 34b bra but the only thing is that I can fill the cup out even more so, but the band doesn't give me no support. So when I order the 32 dd bra, the band definitely gave the support that I needed. You see it is in the ribcage is what makes the difference between the bust. Say if a girl is 36 inch in the bust if her ribcage is a 34 or in 30s, than her bust would look small because it is not much of difference between the two.Now for me very big difference.
