What does it mean if guy calls you short?

so we re not exactly friends we occasionnally share a laugh and we had this weird thing where I thought he liked me so I ignored him...out of NO WHERE he asks me how tall my heels were. then he said that I was short. he's not very tall himself and there are shorter people in our class. I don't think 5 2 is short...wut the hell?

Oookay, 5'2 is short. Just so you know. I'm 5'4 and I get called short. Because I am. I know 5'4 is average for American women, but in my corner of the U.S.A, the average for women is 5'9 and the average for men is 6'2. My boyfriend is 6'5. He's tall. I am short.

As for your situation, he's making an observation. My boyfriend calls me short all the time. It's an observation.

I'm 5'9, and guys call me short! I don't understand what that is about exactly, but I think it means they like you. Some guys like to tease girls that they have an interest in. But it could also be just a statement, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for other signals, like if he stares at you often, or his body language when your around.
