What does cuddling mean to guys?

So.. I've kind of liked this guy on and off from a couple of months now and we have been getting a lot closer recently however he is quite shy. The other night he pulled me in to cuddle when we were home alone together watching a movie.

I think I'm starting to really like this guy and want to ask him if he likes me but I want to kind of know the answer already if that makes sense

so my question I guess is do guys cuddle girls as friends or more or what's the story? (btw when I say cuddle I mean sitting up both his ams around me with his hands resting on top of mine

No. He's crazy about you. He's just really self conscious and fears the relationship transitioning into the area where you'll ultimately find out he has a small penis and then suffer your subsequent rejection and then laughing about with all your friends until he can't escape the shame and humiliation anywhere he goes.

It's all really a mute point though anyway. Satisfaction in this world is temporary. We can have exactly what another thinks they want in a mate and sooner or later time will find us dissatisfied and unfulfilled. Not jaded. Just a realist. That's the reality of life. Everything ends...and generally not well because people have a hard time accepting their own mortality.

I wouldn't cuddle a friend. Some guys would though. Probably most wouldn't. I certainly wouldn't initiate it. In bed after sex, I might cuddle a hook-up, but I certainly wouldn't out of bed.

You should take it as a good sign. For me it would mean I'm interested in the girl sexually, but not just sexually, but also at an emotional level. It would mean I'm comforted by her presence, but at the same time I'm having protective feelings towards her. When I get the feeling that I want to cuddle a girl, it feels like a very primal insinct, both mushy and masculine at the same time. I take it as a sign that I no longer want her to be 'just a friend' or 'just a hook-up'.

Whatever type of cuddling it is, it's contact and it's intimate. Guys don't do that with girl buddies. At least I don't. I want to cuddle with a girl for closeness. I want to feel her against me and touch her skin, hear/feel her breathe. I want to make her feel comforted and secure with me - and feel loved. Cuddling means a lot to me.
