Normal for 31 year old males to hang out with 20 year olds?

Just curious to how normal it is for 31 year old males to be hanging out with 20 to 22 year olds? is that weird, showing they are not growing up? (going both ways, hanging out with both females and males of that age group)

I'm almost thirty, and I hang out with a wide variety of aged people. Some are in their early twenties, as young as 21, and others are almost 50.

I try to surround myself in the company of good people. I don't really care how old they are. The majority of the people I spend time with are around thirty, like me. I don't think that's abnormal.

If I were to know somebody my age that chose to spend all his/her time with early twenty-somethings, it wouldn't really bother me. I might tease him/her for being the creepy old person, but I tease like that with people I know all the time.

i'm assuming the 20 year olds you spend your time with have are more mature? or are they the partying type? (smoking weed all day and partying all night?)

Hadn't really thought about it, but yes, indeed, not so much the partying type, but I never really was much of a party goer. They are all hard working people that pull their own weight. Some go to university/college. All have something going on. One girl manages a store, for example.

Not that common and not that normal. It's usually a sign of some sort of arrested development in the 30 year old.

What about 20 something year olds hanging with 50 year olds?

I've been the type to hang with someone no matter their age.

When we have common interests I don't even care about the fact that we were born different years.

I say if younger friends is all the person has it could be a sign of immaturity.

But if they have friends ranging in ages, it shows they only care about whether them and the persons click or not.

Age shouldn't be a factor unless the person is illegal age.

I'm 31 and the people I spend time with vary from being in their 40's to their 20's. If I like who someone is then that's what matters. Some of us have similar interests, some look for advice/shoulder to lean on just like any friend of any age.

It's not common but it's not that weird either, but I'd say if he's friend with some people that are younger that's fine as long as he still has friends his own age

People make friends with the people around them. If a 30 year old person goes back to college to work on a graduate degree he'll be around a lot of 20 year old people. If he lives in an apartment building near a university he'll be around a lot of 20 somethings. If he enjoys nightlife at bars and clubs, he'll be around a lot of 20 somethings. If he works in an office 45 hours a week and spends a lot of time maintaining his house (cutting the lawn, cleaning the pool, etc) he probably only knows the people in his office (late 20s - 40s) and his neighbors which will probably be older. Your friends are a product of your environment.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm 25 and iv flirted talked to a couple women who were 33 and 34 in the bar before. They were really interesting and cool. Hot too lol If you were like 51 that might be a little odd. But there comes a point in life where age is just a number when your all adults.

growing up is subjective. people aged 60 or 70 are not necessarily mature. maturity is subjective also.
