Why would a girl lock eyes with a guy?

A girl I work with at my job seems to like locking eyes with me like all the time. At first she was very shy and would blush, act really nervous around me, stumble over her words, but keep the convo going. Her eye contact has seemed to have grow much stronger with me over the past few months. We talk quite a bit in the hallways, but if we are passing each other going the opposite directions she will lock eyes with me and hold for what seems like forever! She will usually smile when she does this. What does this mean, girls? Is she trying to send me a signal? I've never had a girl lock eyes so forcibly with me before.

Purposefully locking eyes when she was formerly much shyer could mean she build her confidence up where she is able make stronger eye contact with people. I'm kind of shy myself and need to work on making stronger eye contact. Does she only do this with you? Of course it could mean she likes you and is having fun giving off that signal by making that type of eye contact.

I'm pretty sure that she does. This is not your standard eye contact when passing someone. This is more intense. Yesterday I was walking with a buddy of mine down the hall, as we were passing her she locked eyes with me, gave me a slight smile, and did not even look at or acknowledge my friend! What's up with that? He even said "hey" and she didn't even look

Wow! She's that's bold for being a shy girl especially since just doing that to you. If you like her back I hope you both have chance to explore where all that could possibly lead to.

Haha! I agree Kristyle, if you only knew the whole story with this girl. She is unavailable to me unfortunately, but she still pulls moves like this. Sometimes I feel she is secretly in love with me. *Sigh*

She has a long term boyfriend, it is very confusing the way she acts towards me. I'm sure what is going on?
