Some guys are insecure and afraid of looking 'gay' if they honestly admit that they care about their friends and how much they mean to each other so instead they do the opposite and overcompensate by insultingly joking with each other. I don't tend to do it that much but I'm more in touch with my emotional side and don't really care about how I'm perceived but yeh I don't get insulted if some friends do it to me because I know it isn't intended as anything mean spirited :)
You know you're my real friend when I call you "F***er" when greeting you. Or when I open up my conversation with "What's up bitch/slut/whore/cum receptacle/d***" etc. It's just how guys do it. It's fun and funny. It's showing that you don't take each other too seriously.

When ever I see one of my friends I just say "Where were you? Sucking giant black d*** in a gas station bathroom again?"
Honestly, I don't get why this is a question. Jesus invented jokes for a reason.
Guys mostly do it in a joking manner. Honestly, girls are far meaner to each other.
