How I first notice is when a guy is relaxed is he starts chewing with his mouth open, eats like he hasn't in days, burps, rubs his crotch/butt, picks his nose, sits back in his sit, legs relaxed open, arms to the side when he stands, makes better eye contact (instead of playing 'chicken eyes'), does things he normally wouldn't do if he's trying to impress you.
Subtle hints guys do and I think they don't even notice...guys get really thirsty out of the blue when they talk to a girl they really like. Another way to tell if he really likes you is while he's sitting, he'll take the leg that is opposite from you and cross it over the leg that is closest to yo, which will make his foot rest on your knee, or at least be closer to you; while he's in a relaxed sitting position. If you notice this, he'll try to straighten up his sitting, but sometimes, still keep that leg over his other.
If they can be themselves around you and are not ashamed to do so.
Smiling at you without speaking , touching your hand, and listening without interrupting or commenting, until you pause.
If a guy can fart around you without being embarrassed or making a joke about it then he is really comfortable.
