What does it mean when a guy lets you vent and talk about your problems to him?

When a guy listens to your problems and lets you vent and tries his best to help you, even though he's always busy and at work but he gives you advice and takes time out of his day to do it what does this mean? And it's all through texting too

Most of the time, the guy has some sort of infatuation with you, but may not show that in other ways because of life circumstances.

So,he goes out of his way to be helpful and listens to your problems. It makes him feel that he has some sort of relationshp with you! And really, he does! And just texting isn't going to cause gossip at his work or other complications for him.

Why are people asking really dumb questions today? I know it's like every day but really?

If a person attempts to help you it means that they want to help you. It does not mean that you have found someone who cares about you on an astral level who wants to do anything more than help you as they can due probably to their nature or the nature of your introductions.

Because its a little more complicated than that. I ask because he is already in a relationship and he lets me do this. He says he doesn't mind and he hardly ever vents to me(guys don't do that) but has told me a couple things here and there that are personal but he lets me go to him when I need to so that's why I was wondering if he's just being helpful or if there's more to it

That's what I figured. You're proposing that his behavior is somehow tied to you romantically, probably through some reverse desire you're subconscious of, essentially asking "Does he like me?" to which the answer would have to lie outside of his willingness to spread good cheer. How did you meet

We all hang out in a group. Never gone anywhere alone with him. He has brought it up once but it never happened. We just talk through text

:-) I really care about him too. I have let him know that he can talk to me anytime he needs to but his response is that guys don't have feelings and talk but at least he lets me talk with him and take time out of his day to listen and help me.
