What does it mean if guy says he hasn't seen me in a while?

I like my male coworker and I'm pretty sure he like me too because we flirt quite a bit at work. We have hung out a couple time outside of work and it was just the two of us. We Haven't hung out or texted much lately and today he said "I Haven't seen you in awhile". But I saw hhim at work a day ago...does this mean he wants to hang out with me again? And if he does is it just in a friendly way or more?
