What does it mean when a guy says his into you still but doesn’t make time to see you?

So everything was going very smoothly at the beginning and I got into my head abit and kinda pushed him away (self-sabotage). We still talk here and there and he likes a lot of my shit but I’m just stuck if I should continue talking to him or move on. I’ve been honest about everything with him too and owned my shit when I’ve been stuck in my head. He did say he likes me as a person and want me in his life but just confusing when he doesn’t make time.

More context on this question, his made it clear that he just wants to be friends with benefits. The confusing part is that when I do leave him alone he starts messaging me to get my attention, even though we made it clear. No strings attached.

He’s not that into you. Likes you as a person is a vague statement. There’s a lot of people I like as a person too. Doesn’t mean that I like them sexually or intimately. A man will make time for you if you’re the one he wants to be w. I remember when I was in the Middle East I’d wake up at 3 am to talk to the girl I liked back in the states, which was the afternoon for her. I did that for a long time. Maybe he likes you some but not as much as you think. Maybe he just likes you sexually. Maybe he just likes you as a person, a friend.
