Also Victoria Secret makes their models wear that sparkly skin tan spray stuff along with other body makeup. link sell it at VS and the models promote it. I have found cheaper alternative brands which is what I use when I get all made up for my shows link and thesesprays work like magic. When I do fashion shows I like to use bronzers as well on my shoulders and collar bone and in varios locations on my face because it also highlights my skin to make it glow. Even if you don't have that perfectly toned body, there are many make up tricks you can do to still look like a model and be confident enoguh to show off your skin. Some tricks I picked up from other girls in my shows. Like some girls have stretch marks or other scars but they still look flawless. I also learned some tricks from YouTube. here is one that I likepretty much, if you can make your skin glow then an average girl can look like and angel. and there is no need for photoshop or starving yourself..

Don't know if childhood/teenage activity/diet plays a role in terms of base muscle and metabolism. I always did lots of sports growing up and was fed a very stone-age diet with no such thing as preserved foods or candy. I also did some serious exercise in Uni. Now my abs, shoulders, arms, thighs etc always look toned even though I do very little exercise. I eat loads of junk now but my metabolism is just fast - nervous disposition speeds it up. I have a feeling it's not just my genetics but my developing years too.00 Reply
+1 yThey probably eat clean (lots of greens and protein, fatty foods in moderation), do cardio and weight training several times per week, and drink lots of water. I assume the models would have trainers and nutritionists who help them maintain their figures and stick to their diet and fitness plans.

do high intensity workouts since it helps increase your metabolism
try doing compound exercises to build some muscle mass since mass speeds up metabolism
break our meals into multiple portions with bigger portions in morning and less at night since you don't burn carbs while sleeping
proper sleep, try not to be stressed often
also keep in mind models are tall so they hide fat and muscle mass very well10 Reply
That's something you're going to have to ask them because I'm sure they all have different and/or specific methods . These models have names and I'm pretty sure they have their own websites, and/or social media pages where you could message them and find out what do they do to maintain.

+1 yI don't know about VS models specifically, but I've been around the modelling and circuit pageant ever since I was little, and your first statement has much more truth to it than you think. Things I've heard from models, some of them lingerie models:
"I'm a fit model so I spend half my life on the drip." (This refers to being intravenously nourished in the hospital when the body shuts down due to lack of food).
"Being hungry is my job."
(model has scabs on her knees, so I asked why) "I faint a lot."
"I'm trying to starve my ass off."
It's also becoming a trend lately in the modelling world to eat tissues because they absorb water and expand in the stomach, simulating fullness.
Many models are beautiful, no doubt, and I'm sure there are many that do it healthily. But don't kid yourself. The majority are severely underweight using very disturbing weight loss methods. I can only say I'm happy I escaped when I did.34 Reply- +1 y
VS models=/= high fashion models
There's a difference between the two. That's why VS models aren't taken seriously in the fashion industry, aside from a few like Gisele - +1 y
You are right that they're different in many ways, and the VS models do have to maintain a different sort of figure. But the underlying principles and methods are generally the same.

Every time they're photographed by paparazzi they have ice cream, froyo, French fries or a milkshake in their hands. - +1 y
You're allowed to believe whatever you want. But spend enough time in that industry and it becomes very very ugly.
1.1K opinions shared on Other topic. mines naturally like that except for long legs, large boobs and the flat stomach (I have a small stomach but its not perfectly flat :l), I have a high metabolism so maybe that's a contributing factor? I honestly don't know but I assume crunches at least, squats maybe step machines and overhead presses with smaller dumb bells. personally I go to belly dance classes to make my waist even smaller and help with my stomach and I do squats once a week

+1 yMy wife modelled full time for a while when she was younger.
The male models lived in the gym. The women just barely ate, and survived (for a while) off cigarettes, drugs alcohol and a little salad. Since most of them are super young that lifestyle hasn't caught up with them.

That's most likley because 2/3 are in fact overweight. On the higher end you can alwys say you're heavier because you have a lot of muscle mass on the lower end there's nothing really. You're just underweight.
I've never heard anyone say that. It's true within the healthy BMI range different girls will naturally settle at different weights, but outside the healthy range, it's all just nutrition. Obviously you don't want to hear that though - +1 y
Lesbehonest, 2/3 of the population is overwrite by BMI standards because they're carrying excess fat, not muscle. And if a girl can be naturally fat then a girl can be naturally thin. I've known plenty of naturally thin girls who were underweight yet their doctors said they are healthy. Maybe you don't like the thought of someone thin being healthy but it's reality

FYI my BMI is slighlty underweight t 17.5 and I don't think I'm unhealthy at all. But some of those models are at 15. something. I mean come on...
But geez, it's your body, go ahead! I was just pointing out to you that maybe the ideal you have in your head is not healthy. And you're not alone, if you show people girl that medically underfat with malnutritions other people will judge their bodies as ideal

+1 yA combination of genetics, diet, personal trainers, and cosmetic surgery. I am sure the diet and exercise of each girl is going to be different based on how her body metabolizes different foods. Even if the average woman had experts helping her, she most likely couldn't achieve those results.

I have a superskinny & tall friend that's 1.7somethng meters but only weighs like 49kg & by the way they eat I'm suprized she's not fat already. but its in her genes her mom & brother are also as skinny. she doesn't exercise at all but she stays skinny. but some modles need a big mack when your knees look like they about to snap as you walk then just get a big mac please!
00 Reply472 opinions shared on Other topic. A lot of it is just genetics. Long, steady state cardio, pilates, I read once about several of the angels mentioning boxing and jumping rope, and if they do any weights at all it would all be low weight and high rep.
10 ReplyThey have genes that make it easy to have a body like that. That's the main reason. If you eat a lot of protein and vegetables and stay away from carbs, you'll start losing weight. My friend's brother's wife is a hungarian supermodel and that was her advice.

+1 ythey live on salads, drink water, don't eat anything that can gain them calories, oily and junk food is a big NO NO and they probably drink one of those weight loss shakes everyday to maintain their weight
