What is the point of raves?

What exactly do you do at raves that makes it so important to do over and over again? What does your rave experience consist of?

People go to clubs every weekend drink, listen to hip-hop, rap/pop, house/trance, and dance with strangers in their favorite ambiance... Going to a rave is the same thing except the music scene is just focused towards various electronic generes (dnb, dubstep, electro, techno, trance, etc.) dependent on the party. People do tend to do harder drugs at raves but it's the same shit as clubbing. It's a concert at night, there might be a laser light show, and you're generally doing drugs and getting into the music, dancing and being around other people...

dance, drink, do drugs, hook up... well at least the dancing is always done the rest is all up to the individual

I think people (but teens and young adults) especially gravitate towards them because they allow for a few hours of just being carefree, enjoying some music and just letting go with a lot of likeminded people

For some people, they like to go mass. For other people, a rave fulfills the same need.
