She can take a very long time to respond to texts, but she always does respond, is that a good sign?

I've been talking to this girl, we text pretty much every day. She is pretty good about responding, but sometimes it will be a day till she responds. I know she is using her phone because I will get snapchats from her during this time.

Let me clarify, I am fine with her not responding or taking a long time, not every conversation can last for hours and be a very quick back and forth conversation. But one thing I have noticed, is that she almost always does respond, no matter how long it had been since I sent her a text. And often times, like I said, she will send snapchats to me, so she is using her phone. But then that means that she thought to go back to our conversation and respond, which I take as a good sign, because she could have easily just let the conversation die, especially since it had been so long.

Is that a good sign that she responds even though it has been a day? Or is it bad that it would take her that long to respond in the first place? I am just curious on people's opinions on the matter, would a girl respond to a guy she liked quickly? Or does it matter, since she is continuing the conversation?

For the past two days, she has texted me first. I have been trying not to text her first and let her come to me. Also, it's important to note that we are both interning in different cities.

Well, sir let me tell you from a girl's point of view :) If I don't like the guy I DON'T respond or have a conversation with him that is lengthy. If I don't like the guy and he texts me a lot of course I am going to be nice and respond but it's very vague and short, and I certainly will not keep the convo going. If I like the guy I will have conversations with him and text him back and forth and not give him simple/vague texts. I will show the interest, and honestly this girl seems like she likes you! :) Cause you said you two text a lot and trust me a girl never keeps a convo going with a guy unless she likes him.

On her responding a day later, well, it could be multiple things, but I don't think it's a negative based. She might have really just saw the text or it might be a thing where she doesn't want to look "desperate" or "clingy" which is what a lot of us women do. We will back off, cause guys are so quick to judge and say a woman is being "clingy" and such. I'm not saying you act that way, but us women seemed to be programmed to kinda back off and let the guy chase you.

Personally, I think she does like you, and I don't think her responding a day later is bad at all. Like I said there are many possible scenarios for that, but I highly doubt it's a bad scenario. Hope I helped, and good luck! :)

Yea, that helped, I never thought of it as a negative because she does always respond. If she just never responded each time this happened, then I would think it was negative. But that helps a lot, she is also very shy and my friends in our class of commented on how we are cute together in class. I was just wondering from a girls perspective what it might be. Thank you!

Let me explain to you my theory on a girl's point of view about a GUY who does or doesn't "

respond quickly or takes HIS sweet ass time" in doing so. I was in a year long relationship with the best text er and caller and "cell phone junkie" that on one could EVER imagine, right down to the nitty gritty of having this "bond " with it more than with anyone..it should really have been glued to his hand because it was always right THERE, like it was something he could NOT live without. Trouble was, I WAS NEVER one of his priorities for TEXT(maybe an every day "hi, my girl", maybe every three-four days, and then he wouldn't respond to a question or remark I had made. Probably wouldn't--or forgot what it was because he took so damn LONG to respond to me.)CALLING was even worse, and the only time he called was for "his benefit," and not to just hear my sexy voice. Bottom line here is, it is a "GREAT SIGN" that she responds to you like she is doing--and even sends snapchats to boot? Sweetie, she is either "into you" or has "text manners". "Text it out"..(.Meaning feel it out, that is):))

I don't think is a very good sign somebody to respond after so much time. I think you should lay down a little bit and don't text her so often especially if you are not in a relationship yet. Be mysterious a little bit and let her comes to you first. In my opinion this behavious can be expained in two ways:

Either she is really busy, she knows that the texting will continue for long and doesn't have time for it so she just ignores your message until she finds time or she is not interested a lot and wants to be polite by replying

She does initiate contact too, its not all the time that she takes forever to respond, but after we have talked for a bit, she stops responding, I don't send any more messages but then she will respond the next day. She has kept the conversation going before and will tell me random little things that's happening to her throughout the day. We are both working, so that's part of why it takes so long for her to respond

She might be taking a while because she really likes you and is thinking about what to say before she replies so she doesn't make a mistake or sound stupid.

A more clear indication that she likes you is how long her responses are. Big long responses with lots of questions, detail etc. shows she is into you. Short simple responses like "yeah" or "ok fine" are not so encouraging signs, but it depends on the context of the conversation.

It depends, it's rarely ever a one word response, it's always something that can keep the conversation going. At least a sentence or two at the least

I agree with the girls here, if she wasn't interested she either wouldn't answer or would give really short answers without any questions.

Could be she isn't interested and polite.

Could be that she is one of those girls who isn't going to make it deadly obvious she's into you. You know some of us have things going on in our lives and/or don't sit next to our phones and wait for them to ring, or if we do we count to three before picking up. Or wait a day to answer a text. She could just be playing it safe. Get her face to face, it will be easier to tell.

I beleive that if she is working it makes sense but to reply next day... I find it suspicious a little bit ... I just see myselft if I am really interested for somebody I want to contact as soon as possible... I don't want to discourage you.. ijust beleive that let her make a move first you could have a better impression of what she wants and if she is really interested

I used to try to text her last year, but she would respond to the initial message, but then not to anything else. I think our conversation would last for like a message or two. Then I started talking to her in person this past semester and we started talking a lot, for the most part initiated by her. She is also a pretty shy person.

Impossible to know. keep getting to know her. you'll figure it out when you get to know her character better.
