So rewind to a few months ago, my dad used to reach out weekly or maybe every few weeks. At the time, my mom and I (parents are divorced) weren’t talking so not sure if my dad saw himself as the middle man. As soon as my mom and I start talking again, he begins reaching out more frequently. Maybe it’s a coincidence but my dad in my opinion reaches out too often while my mom reaches out just as often and for some reason it doesn’t bother me. My mom lives local and my dad lives in another state, we didn’t talk for 3 years and started again last year. Again he didn’t reach out that often until my mom and I started talking again. My dad just irks me I can’t put a finger on it well kind of but it’s hard to explain. This past weekend, I speak with him Saturday after he calls again from when I didn’t pick up that Tuesday. After we speak about an hr, he calls back about an hr after and I don’t pick up. Sunday, he calls me 4 times and I didn’t answer bc I was just frustrated. I know it’s not an emergency bc he usually texts after if he needs something. Yesterday, he calls again and I kind of chew him out for calling so much Sunday, he called to tell me about a show he watched and I had to ask if that REALLY warranted 4 calls in one day, like a text would’ve done the trick. Honestly I don’t understand why he needs to reach out so much we haven’t had an argument since 3+ years ago before we stopped talking. He only talks to his brother and isn’t on speaking terms with the rest of his family bc they’re assholes. I am kind of fed up with everyone sympathizing for him but I am alone too & don’t see anyone pitying me. My thing is what if I was married or had kids, I’d still be expected to devote my time to him? That isn’t my fault or obligation.

I have seen this stuff said before tho seeing it on the rise lately with videos from pearlythings & femsapian. I discovered them unintentionally pop up in my feed. They are all over & some people seem to gobble it up. Each video is recycling of these points:

Women expire after 25.

A women dating around will not only not help her learn what kind of partner she wants, but will destroy her ability to bond and make her ineligible used goods.

Women should marry young as a virgin, or no one will claim her and her life is meaningless.

If a women chooses correctly, she will derive great pleasure from obeying her husband.

Women having careers is the downfall of civilization.

Men don’t want to marry women who support themselves.

Women owe men their entire lives bc men must support them financially.

A marriage can not be a partnership thus is offensive to a man. A relationship must have a leader and someone who obeys otherwise it Is disrespectful to ken and only hateful loud mouth cheating aggressive women who don’t respect anyone l, want a partner instead of a leader.

Men expect obedience no matter what is happening within the marriage.

If the marriage is abusive, the woman chose poorly.

Young men are not under a time constraint bc they can marry later. They have time to date around.

A man should be a decade or so older then the women to make the marriage work.(despite the fact marriage in average is 3 years age difference plus or minus, either gender)

Women need an older men to lead them bc they are irrational and can’t navigate life.

A real woman will stay by her husbands side no matter what.

Birth control makes women lazy unaccountable & should be abolished.

Pregnancy is 💯 a woman’s responsibility.

I thought this was a good idea bc that way he doesn’t have to show up if it’s a bad tone dnd since I’m always in the sane spot sane tine after swimming it seemed simple.

but now im really uncomfortable bc I’ll never know if he’s going to show up and what if he thinks I meant every day that I swim and what if the 1 day he chooses I will not be there last minute emergency or I’ll be tired. I don’t want to limit my work out bc I don’t want to be tired later.

I think this was a terrible idea 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I feel funny switching it after the fact. Wouk’s you be bothered if I switched things to a more specific plan, after we agreed to a flexible plan? Obviously he can say no so it shouldn’t be a finer deal but I still am uncomfortable. Do I ask him if he wants to make a plan or do I suggest it?

Hi, so I've been chatting to this guy I met at a coffee shop for 2 weeks and gone on 2 dates with him, no sex yet but have kissed. Because he come out of no where I'm not sure what to do. I am very tied up to my job and school at the moment and need to focus for a good 2-3months until holiday break. I don't have time to date atm. I really like him and I'm sure he really likes me too. He is also quite a busy person. I don't want to lead him on, but I also don't want him to think I'm not interested. What should I do?

I'm thinking I cool down or pull back a bit, because I need to focus, then reach out and see if his free to hang later after 3 months.

Again I'm worried we will get too deep and I can't be there for him as of yet.

I used to have guy friends in high school, less in college and 0 now. Is this normal lol

i find that becuase of this, it’s also limited my ability to meet guys as a single woman. Is this just me?
