Recently there has been more awareness in the media of what is called "emotional abuse." As always this is being used to brainwash women, planting destructive seeds in their minds to make them suspicious of their boyfriends or husbands. Even though many women emotionally abuse men, as always there will be double standards and only men will be punished for "emotional abuse."
But here's the thing: emotional abuse can be interpreted in many different ways. For example, if a man complains that his girlfriend is going out drinking in a short skirt, he can be accused of emotional abuse for making the woman feel guilty. However, once upon a time, in a world of common sense, it would be perfectly okay for a gentleman to get upset over his wife going out in a short skirt. But in today's feminist, anti-male, highly sexualized society, it's perfectly normal and commonplace for a woman in a relationship to go out in a short skirt where other men can see her underwear. But if the man complains, just accuse him of emotional abuse. That's right, if a man gets upset that his girlfriend goes out dressed in revealing clothing so that her underwear can be easily seen, then he's just a control freak and is guilty of emotional abuse.
So what's next? Will parents be guilty of emotional abuse for not letting thier eight-year-old daughter go out in a short skirt? Where will this end? This is once again just another example of the government and media planting seeds in women's minds to cause more conflict in relationships. I think the public are so naive that they will believe just about anything the government shoves down their throats.

This is incredibly insensitive. My dad was extremely emotionally abusive to me growing up and I'm damaged from it. He made me feel stupid and incapable and unloved. He bullied and took advantage of his daughter with a learning disability. Because of him, I have zero self esteem and don't feel entitled to anything (even valid emotions). Because of him, I have to go to therapy just to figure out how to have a relationship.
Emotional abuse is real. If there are some people who take advantage of that, that's no reason to call the whole idea of it a "scam." But it sounds like what you're really complaining about is the fact that men can't dictate what women do anymore. That's a whole different issue entirely and, really, it's a good thing.
Well we know that the government empowering women has led to the destruction of the family unit, but the fact still remains that emotional abuse is being used to cause more conflict between men and women. We all know that women are very emotional and will label their partner as "emotionally abusive" whenever their feelings get hurt. Women and big brother government has destroyed the family unit and now the term "emotional abuse"is being given to women to use as a weapon against men.
I know well that women tend to emotionally abuse. But that example sucks... Women don't tell men what to wear, why should we tell them what to wear or be upset about it? If they're doing it for us, they're proving their own double standards.
Looks like you completely missed the point of this mytake.
That's why I said the example sucks.
