*In a radio announcer's voice*
From the dawn of time, people have found ways to connect. Bars, clubs, mutual friends, the comes the internet... *static noise*......
Then comes the 90s. Online dating started for me in the late 90s to 2000s. And what's best about Internet dating is that anyone can be anything they want to be and say who they want to be.

We all put our best foot forward, and try and be the best we can be but on the Internet superhighway there are hitchhikers who are wolves in sheep's clothing.

We all think people have good intentions, but those intentions are usually for the worst. Back in the late 90s in the Yahoo chat rooms, a specific group of individuals from a certain part of the land would use sob stories to get to certain locations; usually it worked, sometimes it backfired. In my case I'm neither.
During the early 2000s, I was back in school full-time and was going back and forth to the hospital due to a sick parent. I met this person from Florida. Thought she was normal. She told me her father was a doctor and had a lot of money. She also told me she was a nurse, and she was here during 9/11.
She kept up that lie, she came to see me from where she was living, only AFTER I paid for her flight up here. Her excuses prior were she was on her period, she couldn't fly, second was she had a wisdom tooth pulled out, and third she never showed, and probably 2 other times before (she had me running all over town on Valentines Day looking for her) and I had $50.00 worth of red roses for her, to much chagrin, she wasn't here, and I made some woman on the street happy when I gave her roses.
Flash forward to Thanksgiving, she came to see me. On my dime, she came back on New Years Eve. And me like an idiot I proposed to her. BUT... She said NO. I need to ask her grandfather. No I know you are from the old school, is that why you made me pay for your flight up? And you made lie after lie?

I was getting to the point where I made a mistake when I was trying to get everything in order and the grandmother accuses me of playing games. I was forced to fly to Florida with a 103° fever and chills. She walks out in a wedding dress on a Saturday. While this was going on her grandfather who was in WW 1 was telling me to get a doctors note from my physician saying I'm fit. I fly back home and I start to slowly pull away. When she came and stayed at a local corporate hotel, she claimed she was related to the owners, and hung to that story. This is when I said I need to walk away.
She texted me on my birthday and I responded back. Her so-called boyfriend messages me saying I'm bothering her (mind you the way the wording of the messages was the way she talks)
