No that wasn't what I was implying at all. I was saying more women are raped than men, so the demand for centres are higher for women then men.

And with the fact that it goes under reported and rarely occures in arrests thats saying an awful lot. So in fact men do need more places, as much as women. Thats just rape.

My only statement was it happens more to women therefore more facilities are needed to accommodate women. Why have 50 for men and 50 for women of only 25 are used by men but 70 are used by women? Yes you said most and I refuted that providing evidence to show that no most are not women that in fact we can statisticly prove that not only are we about even but if we factor in prison rape males are significantly more likely to be raped then women. l Thats what I was refuting. ie that 50 men get raped and 50 women get raped but we only have 100 facilities for women and 1 for men. That is the scenario that is what actually is the case. The domestic violence was simply another argument that most make which is also provably false yet still seems to cater towards women even though men are more likely to be victims of it. It was to illustrate that the occurence isn't different just our response to it ie when it happens to men we don't care, when it happens to women the world is expected to stop everything and attend to her.
Prison rape regardless of gender is different and requires a different approach.

Neither. As per the link the occurence of rape is equal. The fact is society refuses to acknowledge female on male rape which gives the false impression of men being raped less or not at all when in fact the statistics show that they are almost identical. Thats why I provided the link to prove my point. They are raped at the same rates by women.
