It could be just my nature as a straightforward person and hates what-if situation, but what is it with so many guys and girls reading too much into a situation of whether the guy or girl likes them or not?
For example,
He’s usually talkative around his friends, but when I’m around, he’s quiet as a mouse. Does that mean he likes me?
Or,
She flips her hair a lot and touches my arm whenever we’re standing close. Could it be she has feelings for me?
And etc.
I do notice most of these questions asked by teens, with hormonal raging and wanting to have boyfriend/girlfriend and start doing titanic scene, or playing tag at beach like some chickflick drama, but honey, that’s not it.
Some people - while it’s true body languages tell you more than words ever will – are just being friendly and expressive.
They’re talkative, but not around you – hey, maybe they hate you and just want you to take the hint and leave.
They flip their hair – maybe their crushes are standing behind you, and you’re completely unaware of that.
They touch your arms? Oh boy, maybe there’s bug and they’re just getting rid of it.
They look serious and suddenly smile when you’re hanging out with them? Maybe you just reminded them of the dead body they hide not too long ago.
Who knows?~
I’m not saying that everything is just an illusion and your delusions getting the best of you. But, just don’t read too much into it. Better if you ask them yourself if they like you and whatnot. If you get rejected, there are always plenty of fishes in the sea.
p/s : He always gets on my nerve and teases me whenever he got the chance. He also find things I said as ‘interesting’. Sometimes he lets me lick his abs with chocolate sauce. Does he like me?
