My boyfriend follows a lot of attractive, slutty and inappropriate women on Instagram/ Facebook, am I overreacting?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years, though he's never cheated. I can't help, but to feel insecure and disrespected that he finds a ton of other women attractive.

Guys of all sorts will constantly find all kinds of other women attractive but it is the way in which he makes a gf feel while doing it to be the big problem. The fact that he overtly follows them seems to be poor form on his part especially if he knows it bothers you. He should ask himself if the fantasy of other women who he will never meet or touch is worth more than making you feel happy and comfortable. Sadly lots of guys figure that out after their gf leaves them.

He actions, although not cheating per se, are not making his relationship with you any better so would I say you are overreacting? No. Try following a bunch of slutty attractive half naked guys with muscular bodies on Instagram/FB to prove a point, do it openly and see how insecure it make him feel. To protect your reputation write an email beforehand to a female friend you can trust that you are doing this only as an exercise in a kind of psychology experiment so you have deniability after the fact.

Good question and response. I was curious and that led me to this post because I recently have fallen head over heals for a man and today I noticed he follows several provocative half naked models... just made me wonder. This was a helpful read :)

It's a guy thing! You're over reacting!

I'm sure he talks about women with his guy friends all the time just like us women talk about men with our girlfriends.

Just because a man that has a girlfriend doesn't mean that she is strictly the only girl in the world that he looks at. If you asked him he would probably tell you that he looks at ton of other women daily. Again, it's a man thing.

The only thing you should be worried about is if he was cheating, which he is not (based on your details given).

If it bothers you so much, then kindly bring it up to him. I'm sure he would respect the fact that it does indeed bother you.
