How do you ask someone if they love you?

I've been with my bf for only a year and a half now and he's never said he loved me. And I haven't said it to him either. But I think it's long enough for him to know if he does or doesn't.

How should I have this very awkward conversation with him? Part of the reason why I've been putting it off for so long is because I'm not sure I want to hear the answer :/

Not everyone is so sure. The term can be devalued if you say it and are not sure. Just because you feel it and can say it does not mean your partner does not feel it. They maybe want a deeper feeling before they really commit. We all grow deep feelings at a different rate from our life experiences and it is difficult to expect us all to be synchronized to the extent of judging your relationship. Be patient.

I believe for guys we like to do things that show you that we love you and expect that you're getting the message. But hey some girls need to hear it. Don't ask him though that will really hurt his feelings just get the mood going and say I Love you (his name) if his response is anything other than "I love you too" well... yah

I have learnt that men make this mistake a lot. We assume the women understand what we feel from what we do. Unfortunately, they don't. Men really need to be more vocal and women too.
If we don't hear it we always assume the worst and that is not good. Communication is king.

I would ask him if the relationship meant anything do it in person so he's less likely to think you're trying to start a fight, because stuff like that can start one.

I know it will be hard but if you really want to know you will ask and more than likely he will tell you the truth
