A good excuse for not answering a phone call?

Well , its my bf's mobile call. He called me twice without me realizing.. and then texted like why are you not answering. One hour later he called me again and I just watched the screen without answering. I was just not in the mood to talk to him. As simple as that... because he gets really annoying at times and I need my space.
Im sure he's quite pissed off now.. but what should I do and offer as an excuse :/ ?
(Ps: this happened before and we stopped talking for a week...)

Wow he sounds controlling, If you didn't hear your phone you didn't hear your phone, simple as.
But if you want an excuse for the third call, you could have left your phone somewhere.
Like you were doing laundry and left it by the machine, left it in the car?
Listening to music didn't hear it?
Of course it will become obvious if you do this frequently.

It is better and not to lie, but it does sound a bit harsh to say you don't want to talk to someone no matter how honest you can be with them.

Please ask yourself if he gets so angry when you don't answer immeditely and it ends up in an argument and not talking for a week is it worth it?
Does he always want to know where you are and what you are doing?

Yup he is controlling... and I like to be independent thats why we hav lots of arguments. But he loves me lol

Fair enough if he loves you but if your inependant and like your space but he is clingy and controlling you will either have to keep lying or give in to his control when you don't want to. Actually maybe you should just come right out and say it, that sometimes you just need you time and you won't answer. If he doesn't like it and gets angry and stops talking to you maybe you should just igve him the cold shoulder or find someone who isn't like that. This doesn't sound healthy.

Ummm... I didn't say its that he lives far away and we rarely see each other :/. Yes.
But he just send me a very sweet message. Lol... I dont know should I still apologize. Looks like he's calm again :)

Ah brilliant! No don't appologise! As like you say he seems calm. Send a sweet message back. Just as he lives far away doesn't mean it's ok for him to get so angry if you can't answer your phone but it's good of you to be understanding. My bf was away for 6 months with Army on different timezone, a couple times i missed his call he never got angry! We just be sad we missed our chance to chat.

Well i'd ask why, and then you'd tell me something like "im not in the mood", at which point i'd be like ok then, call me if you want to talk later.

Tell him that your phone was in silent mode or Gift him something the next day and tell him you didn't attend the phone coz u were afraid that you would ruin the surprise :P

Tell him your charge is real low and you shut your cell phone off and Its in the other room charging

Tell him he is calling you a bit too often sometimes, but be sensitive with him.
