I think I'm falling for my best guy friend.....help?

Okay so I am very good friends with this wonderful guy. We are into the same things...and get along so well.

We are both single and we talk a lot about dating and relationships together. (Although...he has never talked about other girls in front of me...)

I am really starting to fall for him.

I am trying to be more flirty and fun with him in hopes of getting him to see that I have feelings for him BUT I just don't know what he is thinking. I can't figure out where his feelings lie.

I am totally chicken to openly tell him all this, because 1) I have NO idea what his response would be 2) I don't want to risk our close relationship...

So what's a girl supposed to do in a situation like this?

Tonight he said, "We are so on the same page together." Granted, it was in relation to something very specific...what with the strong gaze and huge smile...I can't help but to hope that he is developing feelings too.

I'm in the same situtation :( it's not fun. The only difference is tht I've gotten hugs and I did grab onto his arm a couple times lately. If ur having a bad day txt him and say tht you need a hug he might get the hint and be there for u. When you guys hang out after he sits down sit down next to him and sit a little closer thn normal I wouldn't do tht wen others are around just the 2 of you it would probly get awkward with people around he might get freaked a little.

U could ask him casually abt his exs see if he mentions anything. You could ask him a question and thn switch where he asks you after I call it the question game where you can ask anything you want and they have to answer truthfully. For the questions you could ask him: if he likes anyone, if he ever saw 2 people who click and get along really well be able to go out, stuff like tht. The things you really want to kw ask, tht way you can get a feel of where he is coming from.

i have this same thing.. I have been friends with this one guy for life (well ever since like I was 6) and he always is asking me do you have a boyfriend and we hang out... we are really close friends and I can tell him anything... except that I like him... I don't want to ruin our really good friendship and make things awkward if it doesn't work out.. But just yesterday we had to take a bus ride up to perform and he sat by me and he put his arm around me :))... but even after getting close on the bus I still can't hug him I don't know why... so just like you I am one clueless girl who just wants this great guy to say I like you... but the guy may be thinkin the same thing and don't want to ruin the close friendship too... for me a lot of people always think we're dating and say we would make a great couple... some days I just want to like scream I LOVE (NAME HERE) but I keep it in and I don't know if ill regret it...

it's not an easy thing to just come out and confess like that, there's too much emotion involved and you could be instantly destroying a relationship you treasure. Play up your affection for him give him a hug now and then, see if he follows suit.Eventually one of you is going to see an change in the other and know when the time is right to pursue it if it's going to happen at all.

I have never hugged him....I have wanted to. I guess I just don't know how to do it. I feel awkward just throwing my arms out. I'm not very "smooth" when it comes to this type of stuff. I have noticed his hand lingering on mine a couple times lately when he has been handing me things. Wow....I'm reading way to much into things. I wish this could be simpler.

It is, he's a guy, guys are simple. if hugs are too big a step then just touch him more often your self, doesn't have to be a hug just resting your hand on his arm or shoulder, That lingering hand move you think you're imagining? try doing it yourself. You're reading into it because you want it to be so and the only way you;re going to know for certain is to push a few buttons and change up your routine enough to throw signals his way that are undeniable so that he starts doing the same.

I would just tell him... the most he is going to do is be like that's cool... but if he is talking about relationships and not bringing up other girls then he probably likes you too
