My girlfriend has clearly got fat over Christmas (11days!) and none of her belts fit her anymore and she tries to hide her tummy from me... ?

... don't get me wrong she's beautiful and i love her, but i was physically far more attracted to her when she was in shape, and whilst i am ok being with her intimately she seems to have a huge issue with me being with her when she's fat so i do have an issue with that because i love being with her

... i wasn't with her during Christmas and as soon as i got back she tried to dress in clothes which hide her stomach as well, i don';t understand it, i mean to put on so much weight she must have been constantly eating

Her self esteem has taken a battering. She feels ugly and fat.

Why not help her by being her exercise buddy and then have some cardio in the bedroom, living room or kitchen? She'll lose the Christmas tummy in no time at all.

If you want to be super super nice about it, just lie that you've noticed you put on weight yourself and ask her if she minds exercising with you because you get really bored and unmotivated doing it alone.

You really don't need to say anything though, she already knows. You saying something will just make her feel more like shit than she already does. It's already knocked her confidence slightly, which is why she won't let you touch, you saying more will just make her feel even worse.
