Texting less as the relationship progresses?

Is it normal that a guy would text a girl less often as the relationship goes on, less than he did at the beginning? Is this a typical thing or does it mean he's losing interest/getting bored with her?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years and we were friends for a year before that and we used to text 24/7 but now what happens is we start texting and we will have long pauses of nothing to say.

me and my guy have been dating for 2 years and we still text each other 24/7. Most of the time it's utter non sense but we still do it.. just to feel connected.. i guess? it's a habit
