Dating a software developer?

so I've been with him for four months now and its very odd , i dont know he acts diffrently , i really care about him but i dont know that world or are software developers just odd and il have to get used to it

Software development is as much an art as it is a science. Being an art, you are sometimes lacking in inspiration. Other times the muse sings, and code flows from your fingertips as fast as you can enter it in an editor.

If your boyfriend were a portrait artist or a music composer, you would find it easier to excuse his behavior because you could appreciate the work he became inspired to make.

To the layman, a code monkey looks just like any other person using a computer, except more boring.

when he's in his code you might have aliens landing and he couldn't care less. Being a software dev I understand this. Just give him his space cause there's a lot going on his mind during and after his job. Besides just tell him how you feel and I think he will give a straight answer because the last thing most dev's want in their life is drama.

lets say he can stay home , and not want me to come over , on the weekend.
or sometimes he is not the in Communication , sometime i wonder if he really cares about me at all , since he shows it a lot sometimes and then somtimes not at all

Hm... maybe he just wants some time to do his own stuff? Can't speak for him, but I am a software developer myself and some times we do want to spend time research, or reading up on our field of work. I myself can some times be a little too much in my head (i. e. thinking too much and not doing enough) because our work requires us to think a lot of all kinds of scenarios. May or may not apply to your guy though.

i know he works hard , and at home as well , but i think he shuld want to see me, I've never had a problem like this before
and on the other hand he is planing things with me five months ahead that we will do together
