Is there also such a think as a bruised female ego?

Too much is said about the male ego and emasculation but I think a female ego can be bruised too.

Two examples I can think that can really hurt and perhaps humiliate a girl:

- If a guy says no to sex even when the girl ok in looks and nicely dressed up... if it's the bf rejecting then I guess that's even more hurtful

- This I think would hurt me.....if I were in a relationship and my bf were to tell me that I'm average in looks but he loves me or give me an ''You were average looking when I met you but now you're great''. Thanks a lot but no thanks.

and I don't even have low self-esteem but I do think this would have almost the same effect as when a guy's ego is bruised

Females are definitely capable of having a bruised ego. It's almost always when you insult a females appearance is where her ego usually tends to be. Some of my more advanced friends in the social arena tell me that when you reject a woman, you're pretty much telling her she's worthless. There is a certain truth to this because in the Western hemisphere (Europe and North America) at least women are raised to believe all their worth is within their looks which is of course not true. Nevertheless, I've met some women who go absolutely crazy when I rejected them. One chased me down the hallway because I never texted her... We also have to recall that women are probably not used to rejection as much as men are, socially speaking. The first few dozen rejections may hurt, but after a certain point it doesn't hurt as much anymore. Bottom line, all humans have an ego, but men typically have more of it because since ancient times, men tend to fight for rank (Alpha, Beta, etc) where women tend to focus more on social compliance.

Yes a woman can be emasculated for lack of a better word. The different terms however cause people to react very differently to it. If a guy feels "emasculated" for some reason, then he needs to grow up and get over it. If a woman feels the exact same way then she will be seen as "having her feelings hurt", and others need to be sensitive to her pain. It is part of what we inherited from gender roles, that continues to haunt us.

Yes and you listed two hypotheticals so I presume you haven't endured much at all.

Actually those two can happen. In the first example if the guy is perhaps very religious or just doesn't want to, he can still say no (there was a YouTube video about girl asking guys for sex and only getting 50% yes while others were no's). In the second, if the guy is so clueless as to what not to say to a gf... he'll still messed it up by reminding her of her looks.

"Can" is the problem. Not "Have", as in with experience, which is kind of my point.
