Why do women have such big egos?

Don't be offended this isn't meant to offend. But women EXPECT guys to pursue them. And they'll decide whether the guy has put ENOUGH effort in towards them. Otherwise he's a no go. If that's not enough even if he makes it past that first test he's expected to keep proving himself to her. Why are women like this. Why does ego constantly need to be fed?

Women want men to be completely smitten head-over-heels obsessed with them, seeing nothing else, aware of nothing else, and want their presence in your life to be the North Star which guides you in all of your decision making and endeavors.

It comes down to our most primal mating behaviors. Men are basically free to fuck around and do whatever we want, women, who have to go through pregnancy, labor, and raising a child, cannot. They are more vulnerable than a man is by virtue of having to carry and care for a baby. They are also physically weaker than men are on average. They need someone to protect them and provide for them and the family.

Women have to KNOW that you’re not going to just get her knocked up and then abandon her or the child. This is why they are so much more picky and discriminate with mates than men are.

How can you KNOW that the guy isn’t just lying to you or putting you on? You want him to say he loves you. You want him to demonstrate it. You want him to sing it to the heavens and tell it to the world that he is madly in love with you and only you. This is one reason why women want men to chase after them. And even continue to chase after them even when they play hard to get. They are testing you, seeing just how devoted you are to her and her alone. They want men to make asses out of themselves by showing just how crazy about them they are. Rings, gifts, flowers, standing outside in the rain calling her name or singing to her and proclaiming your love for all to hear like in romance movies. Surely if you’d risk making a spectacle of yourself and publicly embarrassing yourself they can be sure that they’ve got you.

True, modern women don’t “need” a man to provide, to protect them, or to raise the family. But these tendencies and behaviors I’ve outlined are ancient, going back to caveman times in one way or another. Much as modern women may say they want one thing, they often emotionally want another.
