What to do when boyfriend doesn't tell you about things?

Somethings he doesn't bring up and it bothers me, ex. he says let's meet up at 5 and I have the whole day off and I get upset and only then does he say that he's going to spend time with his friend? He could have told me before and I would have had no problem with it. He tends to keep little details out. Is there something wrong?

With only minor exceptions in my past life I have learned that when I am excluded from the whole story, it's because I'll either raise hell or am going to be screwed... this includes family & the closest of friends, none of whom show any regrets & have even absolved themselves of guilt

Of course in this particular case, this one incident could be only a product of
a) his not being in love with you
+ b) he is self-involved, self-centered, entitled brat

Nah. Many people especially men leave out small details to things. He made plans with you when he was free, and probably didn't think he needed to tell you what he was doing all day.

Maybe instead of getting upset, next time ask him what his plans are. Ask questions and form a conversation out of it.
