What does it mean to a guy when he calls his girl his rib? 😆

Initially when he called me his rib, I googled it, and I found this song from Nick Cannon. I didn't thought of the religions meaning, because he believes in god but he doesn't practise his religion that much. Then I asked him about it, and he slightly mentioned the song, but he kinda talked around the subject than to answer my question. I then suggested the religious meaning, and he didn't confirm it. The conversation went on, and I never got the chance to dig into it.

Well, I'm hoping that he is referring to the creation of woman, in which case you are his Eve, his first woman. Some might argue that the story of creation where Eve was formed from Adam's rib would define their relationship in that she would be subject to him, that she would be subservient to his role and character. I would argue that, since she was taken out of him, that he would be incomplete without her, that she completes him, perfectly complementing him as he does her. That might seem overly romantic for some, but I like that concept far better.
But, if he is calling you rib in another sense, be very concerned if you wake up covered in barbecue sauce...

I'm assuming it's a Adam and even metaphor. Eve was created from Adams rib. thus you are part of him. That would be my guess.
