Guys, what does "just give me some space" mean?

Nothings wrong that I know of. I haven't cheated on him. We didn't have a fight. I'm not mean to him. Hell a couple of days ago we were drinking with some friends together. He is going off to bootcamp in a couple of months and my friend said it sounds like he's scared and doesn't want to be attached to someone when he goes. Help?

Guys need space.

Just in general, guys need alone time where they can come home from work. Kick off their pants, sit on the coach and scratch their balls.

But as soon as you start reading into that somethings wrong and confront him and he replies "no. " Stop being the insightful devils you girls love to be and take it for what he says. Guys usually communicate directly so if there's anything seriously wrong, he'll let you know.

In general, "just give me space" means I'm done and I want out without having to be a complete prick about it. It often has little to do with the person on the receiving end and a lot to do with the speaker.

You can accept it at face value and back out gracefully or you can push the issues and see if it blows up. He might just want to have some different sexual experiences and not what to have to cheat to find them (going in does have the chance of dying, after all)

he probably still wants you but now is standoffish? because he knows he's going to boot camp, he doesn't want to get more and more closer when he can't offer you something substantial, as he is going off to boot camp. and doesn't want you to be hurt when he goes, so he's probably trying to take it down a notch.

Yeah by the sounds of it he is just feeling a little anxiety about going to boot camp and just needs some time to himself. Don't look to much into this, as long as you give him time alone when he wants it, and spend time with him when he doesn't then it should be fine.

Like "That Guy" said, us guys aren't too complicated, when I tell a girl I need some space it usually has nothing to do with her, but more to do with something else in my personal life that I don't feel the need to burden her with, and once I've figured things out, I'm right back in the game lol
