Most of the time its a heads up for the girl to say he's a dick but I'm going to thank him for letting me see who he is now in stead of later ,

Most of the time it means oh fuck I like her kinda but this other chick is so hot ,, and he wants to keep you around just in case this other girl doesn't work out 7 out of ten times there is another gurl involved,,

The 3 out of 10 time could mean he's done but he doesn't want to hurt you so he's buying time or once in a while he doesn't know what he wants because something has happen to make him question if you are the person he wants to be with

Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it.
When I knew him 7 years ago he was different, always a little sad, but he’s changed since then. I think some past relationships he’s had have really changed the way he views romance in an unhealthy way.

Yes that to bad that he allows himself to hold on to something he can or change , or on to something that that is changing him a new start a new everything at least for me is a POSITIVE it's a desire and it's all new and for me I have to make it the best new and alive,, I tell a lot of people on here you have to experience something to really understand it and it doesn't matter if it's positive or NEGITIVE if you can feel it ,, I want to feel it at it's peek at it's best because all NEGITIVE peeks I don't even have to think about it to say no I'm not going that way this is new and I want to take it to that POSITIVE peek because they are never the same at all but all NEGITIVE peeks are all the same it's to bad he wants to keep himself there

That he feels crowded-some women are clingy and want to spend as much time together as possible (as opposed to as much quality time together as possible) and then text/call constantly when not with him. It begins to feel oppressive. Its hard to tell this to a woman because women who do this tend to be insecure and it has the effect of worrying them and making them even more clingy. This can begin a death spiral for the relationship. Sometimes it is also a cowards way of breaking up and the space will just keep getting greater and greater. Either way, not a good sign

We talk every once in a blue moon & hang out about once a year. We’re just friends so it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around it. I see it as a cry for help because he opened up about struggling with mental health & now that I know, he’s pushing me away? How come?

He sounds like he is not invested in the relationship anymore. I'd give him all the space he wants and just break up with him.

He is secluding himself from others and sulking in his depression. I'd give him the space he wants but also let him know he can reach out to you whenever he feels he needs to.

this is a good question because the male mind is extremely confusing, he will say he wants space when in reality, he wants space 😑

well love him and support him from a distance, sometimes all people need is space and if he told you he needs space then just simply give it to him, nothing much to it
